Located in Barnesville, Ga., Gordon State College offers 12 four-year degrees - early childhood education, mathematics, biology, history, English, nursing, health information management, human services, middle grades education and management and administration - as well as 16 associate-level degrees.

With an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students, Gordon State offers an intimate academic setting in state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide.

Founded in 1852, Gordon State College joined the University System of Georgia in 1972 and continues a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service.

Southern Crescent Technical College offers integrated training solutions and supporting programs that meet the needs of Business and Industry. The structure of the Community Education Program is determined by the nature of the materials, instructional approach, and the needs of the requesting organization. Most programs are offered as short courses, seminars, or workshops at various times and locations that fit into one’s busy schedule.

Community Education for Business and Industry is a vital element of the total educational program and is designed to provide opportunities for individuals wanting to upgrade their present skills or explore new occupational fields. Program areas include Quick Start, Georgia’s Retraining Tax Credit, and a variety of Customized Contract Training. Their services also provide resources for business, industry, government, and professional groups desiring to supplement in-house training and workforce development initiatives. The Programs offered through Southern Crescent are fully coordinated with the business customer, and flexible to accommodate shift schedules and location.
